​Coaching in the Community

​

Kent Cricket Club has been very active in the Freetown community. We are based in a big city, with plenty of communities, and a young population. Our grassroots philosophy is to “catch them young”, by teaching them the joy of cricket through individual and group coaching sessions. We are determined to spread the game of cricket in Sierra Leone through partnership with the Sierra Leone Cricket Association and other relevant stakeholders. 

 

There is great potential for the sport in Sierra Leone. We have trained a number of coaches, scorers, umpires and representatives, who are volunteering for the same goal. They come out in great numbers for our training sessions and events. Our coaches who have been working on voluntary basis are really committed towards our grassroots cricket program.
